Parting is Such (sugary) Sweet Sorrow
Last Saturday, Sweet Art had the privilege of giving a Goodbye Party for a great ten-year-old little guy!
His family is soon moving away to another state, and his buddies (many of whom have known him ever since they can remember) can't imagine life without him. So, to ease the pain of the goodbye, a grand, sugar-filled party was thrown in honor of their good friend. It turned out to be a splendid celebration of the friendship of this little band of brothers!
There were pretty decorations, yummy treats, and of course, some nerf guns and a little football thrown in! : )
Some of Da Boyz:
Festive aqua blue and lime green painted a cheerful scene for the party.
The fabric buntings (handmade with love), brightly-colored table runners, and fun balloons were the backdrop for the tablescapes.
There were salty snacks....
And lots of sweets...
Most of the baked goods were lovingly made by one of the talented moms!
To-die-for Pushpops (filled with chocolate chip cookies & buttercream)...
Adorable rice krispy cones...
And colorful sugar cookies.
The boys had no problem putting it all away!
Some more details and faces....
Instead of a tearful goodbye, it was a cheerful (and kinda rowdy) goodbye!
This dear family and their son will be greatly missed!
